This website is brought to you by the ‘Irish Section’ of the ‘Huguenot Society of Great Britain & Ireland’. It is intended to act as a primary portal and source of information for those specifically interested in Huguenots who lived in, or had links with, Ireland.
The wider Huguenot story is to be found on other sites and we also offer links to many websites that we believe may be of interest to those researching Huguenot history or Irish Huguenot ancestry.
Please click on the ‘Events’ tab above to read about our most recent events, including: Our AGM event at Marsh’s Library in June 2018, Our visit to Lisburn, A Walking Tour of Huguenot Dublin, our visit to Portarlington, a talk on the Saurin family at Marsh’s Library in Dublin, the re-dedication of Huguenot memorials in Lisburn Cathedral; our ‘Treasures of Waterford’ tour; and the 200th year commemoration of a ‘famous duel’. Each October/November, our Annual Huguenot Service takes place at St. Patrick’s Cathedral (founded in 1191) in Dublin.
